Today I thought I would start out with sharing with you guys my unboxing of my February Owl Crate!! I love this subscription box and it has never disappointed me. Not only do these boxes contain a book that the creators have specially picked, but they also have little goodies from independent artists, most of them with Etsy shops! That includes things like jewelry, candles, clothing, tapestries, buttons and art. This months box was simply amazing, so without further ado, here are the contents.
The first thing I see when I open the box is obviously a card explaining what each of the objects are, but I wait to look at that last so I don't spoil it. The first item is a little pouch and in that little pouch is a skeleton key necklace. The theme this month was Hidden Worlds, so this key can most likely open doors to places never seen before.
The next item is a button which they put in every box, always with a different design. This one has an owl on it and I have affectionly called it Hedwig.
The second item I see is a candle. I always manage to miss the boxes with candles in them so when I saw the candle I was extremely excited. The candle is from Books on Candles by Vivlyo. You can check their shop out on Etsy, here. The candle is based off of The Chronicles of Narnia and is called Through the Wardrobe, it smells amazing and I cannot wait to light it up!!
The next thing I see is a pouch. Now you can use this pouch for pens, pencils, makeup, paintbrushes, receipts, anything you set your mind to. It comes from Risa Rodil and the quote on the front is from Daughter of Smoke and Bone. Gorgeous!!!
The next item was hard to see without taking it out of the plastic. I thought maybe it was a pillowcase or something but no, when you unfold it it was an absolutely beautiful wall tapestry. I have always wanted a wall tapestry and now I have the perfect one for my reading nook, whenever I decided where that is!
There is also a sticker of Alice and the White Rabbit by Naomi Lord which is absolutely adorable.
And finally, the featured book in this box is The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert. I kind of guessed that this was the book for the month from the description but I am still very excited to read this. I've had it on my GoodReads TBR list for a while now and I can't wait to read it. The Owl Crate exclusive cover is absolutely beautiful and it even comes with a little note from the author, and a set of stickers.
All in all, this crate was amazing. The March Theme is Across the Galaxy and I am certainly intrigued. I definitely recommend this subscription box and thank you all for reading about my unboxing!!
